Sherri Hill 58707 opens with a structured strapless bodice in a deep black satin-finish fabric that holds a clean, straight neckline across the chest. The bodice is fitted through the torso, shaped by the fabric's firm hand rather than by visible boning or seaming detail, and tapers into a low hip where the two-tone transition happens. At that point, a large fabric bow sits off-centre, anchored with a small cluster of embellishment at its knot. The bow marks the break between the black upper and a voluminous ivory skirt below, and the contrast between the two reads sharply at the seam line.
The ivory skirt is the counterweight to the tight upper half, built from gathered and ruched taffeta that pushes out in full, rounded folds. The hem is deliberately uneven, shorter at the front and trailing longer at the back, so the skirt creates movement and volume without obscuring the silhouette entirely. We saw this piece on the runway at the Sherri Hill New York Fashion Week show and the way the skirt shifted with each step made the construction visible in the best way. The black ivory colourway photographed here is one of thirteen options, and the style ships worldwide from Glitz and Glamour. Reach out to get your order started.
